Do you love wool & knitting as much as we do?

Nothing feels softer or more natural than real wool. A hand made garment, crafted by a skilled and talented knitter, is unmistakeable in both look and feel. At Black Hills, we understand and share your passion. Please don’t think because the wool is a “natural colour” we are only producing white. We have five beautiful colours, ivory, silver, slate, ebony and cinnamon. These are also blended to give four more duos of colour.

If you’d like to create a unique garment you’ll find the natural coloured wool from Corriedale and Romney sheep lovingly reared in the magnificent Black Hills of Hurunui, New Zealand just perfect. Whether it’s a sweater for a loved one or something special for yourself, you’ll be surprised at the comments you’ll receive about the great quality and look. Because Black Hills wool is undyed there are no chemicals in the production of the wool and it therefore has a “lowered prickle factor” making it very soft and cosy to wear.
